About Us
As a 3× Ironman and marathon runner, I discovered that running is more than endurance. It’s a way to process pain, rediscover faith, and find purpose again.
Today, Choose Running Foundation empowers people to process grief, trauma, and loss, to pursue endurance, and to fundraise for causes close to their hearts through the transformative power of running and faith. Whether it’s a local 5K or a full Ironman, every mile carries meaning.
Through community, storytelling, and a shared commitment to turn pain into purpose, we remind every runner that you don’t have to run your story alone.
As the founder of Choose Running, I carry a deep burden—and a calling—to help others find purpose, meaning, and hope through running. Because when you lace up and take that first step, you begin to realize: you are not alone.

Real Impacts
At Choose Running, we believe every person carries the power to create change. What begins as a single step can ripple outward — inspiring hope, building community, and supporting causes that matter. Born from a journey of loss and healing, our mission is to remind runners that their miles can hold meaning far beyond the finish line.
By choosing to move with purpose, each individual can transform personal challenges into strength, connect with others who understand the journey, and bring awareness and support to those in need. Together, we show that when we run with intention, every stride has the power to heal, to unite, and to make a difference.
Choose Running Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 92-3631074) recognized by the IRS.
We empower people to process grief, trauma, and loss through the transformative power of running and faith.
What these mean for us:
Choose Running Foundation is a public charity, not a private foundation.
That means:
- You can run your own programs (like supporting runners and trauma recovery).
- You can raise money from donors and sponsors freely.
- You’ll have more flexibility, fewer taxes, and simpler filings than a foundation.
